Black PI is a product of PI film series materials, which not only has the unique high and low temperature resistance, thermal stability and electrical insulation properties of PI film, but also has the characteristics of opacity, light absorption, low light transmittance and low light reflection coefficient. It is precisely because of the optical performance characteristics of black PI films that it is widely used in optoelectronic products such as flexible circuit board substrates, conceptual point devices, LED displays and lighting backlights, light shading materials, light fixed attenuators, and optical termination devices. The preparation of black PI film is generally to add black inorganic particles during or after the synthesis of PI precursors, and then carry out imidization reaction to make black PI film. Polyimide (PAA) was synthesized with 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA) and biphenyl tetraphenolic acid dianhydride (BPDA) as monomers under the condition of N,N-dimethyldiamide (DMAc) as solvents, and then nano-scale carbon black was added to polyimide (PAA) after surfactant and ultrasonic dispersion treatment, fully ground and dispersed to form auniform black PI precursor, and finally thermoimidized in the oven to make a black PI film. The tensile strength and thermal properties of PI and carbon black composite films were tested, and a black polyimide film with light transmittance below 1.5%, almost opaque and excellent comprehensive properties was obtained.

Product performance

The tape made of polyimide film has the advantages of acid and alkali resistance, solvent resistance, H-class electrical insulation, RoHS environmental protection and halogen-free. It can be used in an environment between -200°C and 260°C, and can achieve a temperature resistance of 280°C in a short time, without deformation and degumming, easy to peel off, and no residual glue after tearing off.

Due to the presence of the shading coating, the black PI tape can complete the whole process of heat transfer and laser printing during printing.
